Who You Are Actually Calling
We are a gas line company. Not a general plumbing outfit that takes gas work when it comes up, and not a franchise running three trades out of one building. Gas lines are the work.
That narrowness is on purpose. Gas is the one thing in a house where being roughly right is not good enough. Doing it every day means we have already seen whatever your house is about to show us.
The owner is on the job. When you call, you are talking to the person who will be standing in your side yard, not to a dispatcher passing a note to a salesman. There is no good-better-best sheet in the truck.

Tell people the number before you start
Almost every complaint homeowners have about this trade comes down to communication, not craftsmanship. Somebody did not say what it would cost, or did not say when they were coming. So we put the estimate in writing before anybody digs, and we call when we say we will.
Pull the permit. Every time.
Some outfits offer to skip it like they are doing you a favor. That permit and the green tag behind it are your only independent proof the work was done to code. It matters when you sell. It matters if insurance ever asks. We are not interested in saving you a small amount of time in exchange for that.
Fix what is broken, not what is billable
If your line has good years left and one bad fitting, we fix the fitting and tell you so. Recommending a full replacement on a line that does not need one is how you get one job from a customer instead of twenty years of them.
Leave it the way you would want it left
Narrow trenches, sod stacked instead of shredded, compacted backfill so you are not looking at a sunken line across the lawn in three months. If we nick a sprinkler line, we fix it and it is not an extra.
Say the hard thing
Sometimes the honest answer costs us the job. We would rather be the people who told you the truth about your gas line than the people who sold you something.
